The Great Dane Club of Arizona,
Inc. began in January of 1953.
Several of our current members have been with our club for 25 years
or more, including one current member who joined in 1955. We are
proud that more than a few of our members are licensed by the
American Kennel Club to judge Great Danes, as well as other breeds.
Our club is an affiliate member
of the
Great Dane Club of America which, in turn, is governed by the
rules of the
American Kennel Club
The main emphasis of our club
is to encourage people to learn as much as possible about our
wonderful breed, "The Apollo Of Dogs", by means of education,
exhibition, and knowledgeable breeding practices, as well as by our
own example and we will continue to strive for these objectives.
Over the years, many of our
members have had much success with their dogs in the various AKC
sanctioned events, continuing to the present day. And all of our
members are always ready and willing to offer help and guidance and
to share their experience with new members or anyone who shows a
serious interest in our breed.
Our Club currently meets on the
second Tuesday of each month from September through June. Club
meeting times and location are on our
Club Meetings page.
